The Assam PSC has released notification for eligible candidates for various posts which comes under Assam Public Service Commission through APSC Combined Competitive Exam and other Departmental Examinations. APSC will conduct the selection process for APSC Combined Competitive Exam 2018 and Departmental Examinations for the below posts.
APSC will held the Combined Competitive Examination for screening of candidates for the appointment of to the under-mentioned services/posts in accordance with the Assam Public Services Combined Competitive Examination Rule 1989.

Eligibility Criteria for APSC CC Exam 2018:
These are the Eligibility criteria for of APSC Combined Competitive Examination.

The Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
Candidate should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years.
The upper age limit is relaxed able by five years for SC/ST candidates i.e. up to 43 years.
There will also be the relaxation of upper age limit in respect of Persons with Disability by five years i.e. up to 43 years. The Matriculation/HSLC will calculate the age limit of the candidates Admit Card/Certificate issued by a recognized Board/ Council, and no other document shall be accepted in lieu thereof for the purpose.
- The candidate must hold a Degree from any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India.
- Or other Educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be Deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess such qualification as may be declared equivalent by the Government.
- Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying examination on the closing date of submission of an application need not apply.
- Persons with Disability should ascertain the post for which a particular category of disability is entitled to the reservation as per the advertisement and should apply/opt the preference accordingly at the time of filling up forms for Main Examination.
How to Apply for APSC Exam 2018:
- You have to download the Application form from the APSC’s website www.apsc.nic.in.
- The name of the post applied for should be clearly written in “bold letters” in the Envelope containing the application form and it should be addressed to the Secretary, APSC.
- The last date of receiving duly filled up application form in the Commission’s office is given below. The candidates must obtain proof of submission of application form.
- Only applications which are signed by the candidate s and accompanied by all particulars as
called for in the application form prescribed by the Commission shall be considered and candidates fulfilling all the terms of the advertisement of the respective posts shall be called for a written test as decided by the Commission. A list showing documents submitted along with application form should be enclosed with signature.
- All candidates, whether in Government Service or in Government owned undertaking or
other similar Organizations/Corporations/Boards/ or in private employment may intimate
their controlling authority about their application instead of routing it through the same.
However, the fact of the intimation may be appraise d to the Commission by the candidate suitably.

Details of APSC Junior Administrative Assistant Recruitment:
APSC Exam 2017 for Junior Administrative Assistant is for recruitment of eligible candidates who are citizens of India having registration no in the employment exchange in the state of Assam.
Vacancies are as indicated below in the cadre of Junior Administrative Assistant under the Establishment of Assam Public Service Commission.
Name of post/posts: Junior Administrative Assistant
No of posts: 12 (twelve)
Pay: Rs.14,000 – Rs.49, 000 p.m + Grade Pay Rs.8700 p.m.
The candidate should not be less than 18 years and more than 43 years of age as on 01.01.2017. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Matriculation/ HSLC Admit Card/ Certificate issued by a recognized Board/Council. No other document shall be accepted in lieu thereof for the purpose.
Educational Qualification of APSC Exam 2017 for JAA:
- The applicants must be Graduate in any discipline (Arts, Science and Commerce) from a recognized University with minimum 45% marks in case of General & OBC candidates, 40% for SC/ST candidates in their degree examination.
- The candidates must possess a minimum 6 (six) months Diploma/Certificate in computer proficiency from a recognized institute. They must have good working knowledge of office productivity software tools (independent of any operating system, i.e. MS Windows, Linux, MAC etc.) such as word processor, spread sheet, presentation graphics, concept of database, internet and email.
Selection Process of Junior Administrative Assistant:
The selection process will be of two phases-
Phase I: The candidates whose applications are accepted will be required to appear in a written test.
(a) Computer Practical Test (qualifying only) = 25 marks. Candidates securing 40% marks out of 25 will be treated as qualified for interview/viva-voce.
(b) Viva-voce/interview: The viva-voce will carry 25 marks.
The computer test and the viva-voce interview will be held on the same day at the APSC office premises. The final merit will be made on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates in the written test and the viva-voce interview.
1. For General Candidate : Rs.250/- (Rupees two hundred and fifty) only.
2. For SC/ST : Rs.150/- (Rupees one hundred and fifty) only.
3. Candidates having BPL certificate : Nil
Fees should be deposited only through Treasury Challan in the Head of Account “NON TAX REVENUE, OTHER NON TAX REVENUE 0051 PSC, 105 STATE PSC” examination fee showing the name of post and receipt of Assam Public Service Commission.
Original copy should be submitted along with the application form.

2. Name of post: Junior Engineer (Agriculture) under Agriculture Department
No of posts: 3 [Post Reserved for PWD] Pay: Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 49,000/- (PB-2) with Grade Pay of Rs. 8,700/- PM plus other allowances as admissible under the rules.
Age: 18 (Eighteen) years to 43(Forty Three) years of age as on 01-01-2017 as per Govt. OM No. ABP.06/2016/04, dated 03-03-2016. The upper age limit is relaxable in case of SC/ ST/ OBC and General Candidates by 5 years as per Govt. OM No. ABP.144/95/121 dated 28-10-2015.
Educational Qualification: A candidate must be 3(Three) years Engineering Diploma holder in Agril. Engineering, Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from any recognized Institutions. Preference will be given to the Agril. Engineering Diploma holders.

Educational Qualification: A candidate must have Second Class Master degree in any stream with B.T/ B.Ed. Degree with uniformly brilliant academic career and possessing 10(ten) years of teaching experience in school/ college or 10(ten) years experience in administration of which 5(five) years must be in teaching.
2. Name of post : District Museum Officer under Cultural Affairs Department
No of posts: 3
Pay: Rs. 30000/- to Rs. 110000/- (PB-4) with Grade Pay of Rs. 12700/- plus other allowances as admissible under the rules. (As per ROP, 2016)
Age: 21 years to 43 years of age on 01-01-2017. The upper age is relax able by 5 years in case of SC/ST and PWD candidates
Educational Qualification: Master Degree in Sanskrit/Archaeology/ History with ancient History or MA/ M.Sc in Anthropology with 55% marks and knowledge of museum method.
MA in Museology.
